Stephen Dyer has hit the ground running as our State Representative. He has
introduced several bills, and passed another. He has taken a leadership role among
his peers and has never forgotten the people who allowed him to have the
opportunity to serve; namely, you, the people of the 43rd District.
Accomplishments
  • Formed a Caucus of Freshman Legislators
  • Passed a bill creating free license plates for Purple Heart
    recipients
  • Introduced eight bills that protect children from meth, create
    more accountability in government and cut taxes.
  • Aggressively addressed issues arising in the district through
    legislative and other means
  • Took a leadership role in fighting the Barberton-Norton
    Mosquito Abatement District's expansion into Southern
    Summit County and its attempts to tax us without our vote
  • Partnered with other state, local and federal officials to keep
    Goodyear home in Akron
  • Worked with several stake holders and local school officials
    to start developing a new school funding system
  • Return home nearly every night from Columbus, so the
    people of the District know their representative is available
    nearly every day to serve their needs
  • Dedicated the Gold Star Mothers' rock in Springfield
    Township and Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in Clinton
  • Defended Second Amendment rights by being one of four
    House members to co-sponsor tax breaks for concealed-
    carry license holders
  • Passed a budget that freezes college tuition, cuts property
    taxes for one in four homeowners, allows for the health care
    coverage of all Ohio's children, increases funding for schools
    and saw the slowest state spending growth in over 40 years.
  • Voted to kill E-Check
  • Worked with Ohio EPA to extend the deadline for public
    comment on new rules regarding wood-fired furnaces and
    boilers so as many citizens can give their concerns as possible
